GOP (Geniuses Of Place) distorts, bends and re-addresses foreign echoes of modular synthesis to explore the otherworldly impressions of alien voice and communication.

10.9†01;9 flows and unravels like a kind of alien transmission, but rather than decoding signals of peaceful induction or conversely; threats of invasion, over the course of 10.9†01;9’s 30-or-so minutes you encounter the heightened agitation of extreme journey’s between stars, the suffering and stress of loneliness, and the brief moments of elevation in hope and joy that must be preserved to survive.
This is an album of alien sound but also of commonly felt human emotions, easily shared and understood. Repetitive and alternating phrases and rhythms sprawl in the foreground whilst drones and soundscapes brood at the rear and dominate the low end. It can be at times challenging but hopefully also rewarding and peaceful. As calculated as it is open to random interference, chaos and organic structuring, this is an ambitious album of compositions from a debutant that will hopefully be here for many more releases and decoded alien communications to come.
